I had (incorrectly) assumed that it was yet another victim of corona. Either way it's a sad thing.

I was looking at some of the neck gaiters and was thinking it would be a good back up option instead of masks in some situations. I was thinking I could keep it tucked into a dress shirt with an open neck when I'm alone and pull it up when in the presence of others. It would allow me to have an open neck and still a nice pop of color and I wouldn't need to worry about coordinating and matching ties and masks.
... and then it occurred to me...
I'm talking about a freaking ascot. Next I'll need a monocle to look rich.
OTOH, I've been thinking that bowties are too mainstream, maybe this should be next.
