In 2 days, on Election Day, this political season comes to a close. Make sure you get out and vote, make your voice heard.
In a friend feed conversation on friendfeed someone posted that if you wanted Obama to win you should be supporting and posting information about voters rights on your website. Where I agree that the information is important, I disagree hardily that it is an Obama (or McCain or Barr or Nader or [Insert Candidate's Name Here]) issue. As an American no matter who wins, I want to see an election that's fair, because if we've learned anything over the last 8 years, we've learned that after an election we need to be able to support The President, even if we disagree with him. It's hard to have the pride in this country when a significant percentage of the population doubts the legitimacy of the election process.
To be honest, where I support a candidate, and would love to see him win, if I have a choice I'd rather have my candidate lose and see an 80% turnout then have my candidate win and have a 50% turnout. I believe in democracy, I believe in the wisdom of crowds, I believe that if an educated population goes out there and votes. we will be a strong country. The important part is not to go in the booth and "vote for a party". Learn about the issues, at all the levels in your community.
So, you have 2 day here' what you need to do:
