Technology

I have been using computers since my days in High School over 20 years ago.  I cut my teeth on the Apple ][.  Over the years I have hacked around with Apples, PeeCees, and Mac running most of the OSes that will run on those platforms.  These days I live on a Mac running OSX, but with the magic of virtualization I'm running Windows, and Linux as well on the same box. 

I've been embracing social media more and more as of late as well as that space fascinates me.  The services I am using can generally be found under the "web footprint" section of the sidebar.  Come follow me, if you dare.

Photography

I have gotten back into photography the last couple of years.  I generally shoot with a canon 450d.  Sooner or later I'd like to get a 5d and get back to a sensor with a full frame.  I don't think I'll ever be used to shooting with a cropped sensor.  I mostly shoot baseball games, sci-fi cons and around NYC.  The photos in the banner of this site are all from my collection as well.

Fandom

I am a huge science fiction fan.  From a media perspective I especially enjoy Doctor Who, Babylon 5, Firefly, Lost, and Trek (order of preference DS9, TOS, TNG, Last Season of Enterprise, VOY, Earlier Seasons of Ent),  From a literary perspective I enjoy A.C Clarke, Asimov, Tolkein, Harlen Elison and many of the classics.  Recently I've gotten into the audio book think, not because I can't read but because I get motion sick reading on the subway.

Religion

I was born and raised a Roman Catholic.  As of late I have found myself distancing from The Catholic Church.  Recently, a number of circumstances lined up which have me re-evaluating my options and I am currently in the process of converting to the Episcopal Church.

Professional Life

I am an independent technology consultant.  Technically I am the president of Repair Sense, Inc, but since it's a one person company I'm also the janitor.  Currently I am on a long term assignment at WPP helping set up Enfatico, a company doing doing marketing communications for Dell as their development manager and am not looking for new work.  My previous assignments have included Chase Manhattan Bank, CitiGroup, IBM, and Computer Associates.  My resume is locate here is you want to take a look.
